I'll break out my reviews by book. By my general comment. The adventure path is phenomenal. It's well done in many ways, but what's really special about it. What it's trying to achieve. A way to play a group of evil villains, that doesn't end 3 sessions after it starts.
Now, yes, it is well written & has beautiful art work & is well thought out, etc... but it's more then that. It's a wonderful story of a group of villains rising to greatness. And might I add, it's frighteningly accurate. There's a moment half way through reading Book Two when the author clearly states just how INSANE and reckless of a plan it truly is. I stepped back & realized, with a giggle (yes, I, a grown man, giggled), it's EXACTLY what the foolish villains of any classical fantasy game would do. Concoct a half baked crazy plan & attempt it, be damned the consequences. And it's that moment that this Adventure Path so clearly captures. That feeling of truly being the classical fantasy antagonist to the story.
Here's where I'll put a link to each book & a detailed review, as I get through them.
